Weatherproof Options

As the nights start embracing us earlier than usual, chances are it’s more than just your body clock that’s like, wtf? Tight skin, rough knuckles, chapped lips… say hello to fall/winter, about to wreak havoc from head-to-toe. But hold up - YOU are the boss, so let me remind you what you need know to keep your complexion happy throughout the cold transition. From your face to your feet - these tips & products will get you cold proofed for the season 🥶🤍✨

Firstly. I would not recommend a complete overhaul of routine / products, there is simply no need for that. The most important thing is to develop an awareness and understanding of your own skin and how it responds to different environments and products, and make simple changes to help skin adapt for a change in environment.

1) You still need SPF. Ahem, @layers.skincare dry spf comes to mind - w/ a no mess twist powder brush application that mattifies, easily tossed into a bag and ready to apply anywhere.

2) Consider in-studio treatments. We always worry about peels and laser treatments in the summer months. With sun exposure before or after such procedures there is a higher risk of unwanted post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation BUT fall/winter are the perfect opportunity to get these done. Plan accordingly as there is some downtime associated w/ peels specifically - but you know what they say, no pain no gain and i promise the results are worth it. Check out our newest treatment called The Renovation for targeting texture, clarity, brightness and dew. And always a favourite - the Hydrafacial is also a great reset to combat dull skin during the colder months and provide the juice those deep layers are begging for.

3) Using a richer or more soothing moisturiser can help hydrate as well as soothe sensitive skin - which can become more problematic during the colder months. @layers.skincare 3:1 creme keeps skin nourished all day/night and will not cause breakouts. Truly a game changer.
