The 20’s

What you do in your 20’s will reflect how your skin looks in its 40’s, 50’s and beyond- choose your lifestyle choices, skincare and treatments accordingly. Wear sunscreen everyday. A minimal amount of botox and filler is fine if you so choose but in your 20’s your skin is still youthful and the focus should be on preservation and nourishment to prolong its health. Just as we take care of our bodies by fuelling with nutritious foods and exercising often to keep us strong and living longer - this is how we must take care of our largest organ which envelopes our insides. It has a very big job and is actually pretty incredible if you think about it. For everyone in their 20’s — When choosing what types of skincare you want, I say adopt a basic but effective routine; I prefer to stick with what works for me when I find a solid ritual, and I also wear blinders for cult products because what may serve some, may work against others. The basic daily non-negotiables are of course cleanser, serum (based on your skins needs), moisturizer, and sunscreen (now if you are wearing mineral foundation/cc cream/ bb cream daily - this could replace a daily spf since it provides protection). Another important product to note that is essential but not necessarily used daily is an exfoliant. For treatments, definitely deep cleaning at least 4x/year (seasonal) would be first and foremost, such as a hydrafacial. Think of it as a dental treatment for your skin - the deepest clean your skin could get. To keep your dermis the happiest and at its thickest, the truest “turn back the clock” anti-aging treatment is Microneedling. Not only does it treat almost every skin issue you could be concerned with, this treatment serves a purpose even if you have the most flawless skin - it will give you extra years with that beautiful tight canvas vis natural collagen production. The more you do it, the more improvement you will see - needling is culminative, so think of it as a skinvestment ✨😊🤍
