Top 10 tips to healthy skin

With all of our efforts to be healthy physically & mentally, skin is just as important. But rather than make one big commitment, there are a handful of smaller changes we can make to maintain a healthy complexion. Here are 10 skincare tips to adopt for your healthiest skin yet!

1️⃣ Change your pillow cases twice a week! You’ve heard it before, but this is the time to really take that advice seriously. The amount of bacteria that can build up on your pillow cases is a recipe for breakouts.

2️⃣ Wash your makeup brushes once a week. These tools provide the perfect breeding ground for nasty bacteria & dirt 🤢 Try making it a habit of cleaning your makeup brushes on a weekly basis and I promise you’ll see the difference in not only your complexion, but in the application of your makeup as well.

3️⃣ Always wash your face before bed. It can be tempting after a long day or a crazy night out to skip the soap and catch some z’s. Keep face wipes around for those nights where you just need a quick fix.

4️⃣ Drink more water 💧 This can make a huge impact on the health of your skin. Try carrying your own water bottle around so there’s no excuse not to hydrate.

5️⃣ Keep a consistent skin care routine. With so many skincare products on the market, it can be tempting to forgo your routine in order to try something new. But we recommend maintaining a consistent skincare routine for at least three months before making any changes to truly see results. This goes for certain treatments as well - a series is often required to achieve the results you want.

6️⃣ Try to stick with natural based products 🌿 Harsh chemicals and fillers, typically found in drugstore products, can strip the skin of its natural oils & nutrients.

7️⃣ Take your vitamins 💊 Include them in your morning Your skin (and your body) will thank you! 8️⃣ Don’t pick blemishes! Resist the urge as it only prolongs healing & can leave nasty scars & scabs. 9️⃣ Let products absorb before applying the next. It’s important to let your serum absorb into the skin, 30 seconds between each product is adequate.

1️⃣0️⃣ Moisturize. Even if your skin doesn’t feel dry. Think of it like conditioning your hair - a must!
